Mastercard Setup
Role: Company Admin
Portal: Actnation company portal
Prerequisites: You have the authorized signatory's contact details available.
Purpose
Mastercard setup enables the automated bank transfer pipeline that moves your donation funds to NGOs — after each Corporate Giving voting period closes, or after each Payroll Giving monthly payroll run.
Setting up Mastercard
Complete this during onboarding or later in Company → Settings → Mastercard:
- Enter your authorized signatory's details:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number (with country code, e.g., +4512345678)
- CVR number
- Submit.
- Your signatory receives a confirmation email. They must complete this step before payments can process automatically.
- Monitor the connection status in Company → Payments.
Mastercard connection status meanings
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Active | Setup is complete. Payments process automatically after each voting period or payroll run. |
| Pending | Setup submitted, waiting for signatory confirmation or platform review. |
| Inactive | Setup is incomplete. Manual payment handling may be required. |
What happens when payments are processed
- After a voting period closes or a payroll run completes, payment records are created for each NGO.
- A platform admin generates and sends the Mastercard payment file.
- Mastercard processes the file and returns a response.
- Payment statuses update to Completed (or Failed if there is an issue).
- Each NGO receives their funds and an automatic accounting invoice.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | What to do |
|---|---|
| Status remains Pending for more than a few days | Verify that the authorized signatory received the confirmation email and completed the step. Then recheck Settings. |
| Payment amounts are not reaching NGOs | Check the connection status and confirm payment rows exist in Payments. Contact support if the status appears stuck. |
